Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks & Recreation!

We are now using SecureVolunteer to process background checks for our volunteers aged 18 and over (those UNDER age 18 will need to complete this a Youth Volunteer Form which is available from the Department/Program Coordinator they want to work with).

SecureVolunteer is a completely web-based/paperless system.  BIB takes personal data security and privacy very seriously and has instituted safeguards to protect your personal data.

You will receive e-mails from clientservices@bib.com when you submit your information to SecureVolunteer AND when your background check has been completed.


  • STUDENT VOLUNTEERS (COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS) in our MIGHTY MIGHTS SOCCER AND/OR BASKETBALL PROGRAMS  |  Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks & Recreation is looking for High School students to volunteer for Mighty Mites Soccer & Basketball Classes for 4 & 5 year olds. Students will be assisting the children in stations which involve dribbling, passing, footwork, ball handling skills, offense/defense drills, & small sided games, in either soccer or basketball. Must enjoy working with young children. High School students ages 14 & up can earn community service hours while committing to work for Soccer (Saturday mornings from 9am-12pm or 10am-12pm at Dupont Soccer Field in Spring Mills ) or Basketball (Thursday evening from 5:30pm-6:30pm or 6:30pm-7:30pm at Eagle School Intermediate ).For more information, contact Lauren Mumaw, Recreation Coordinator at (304) 262-4842, Ext. 16 or email Lisa Mann, Mighty Mites Instructor at lissafit@aol.com.
