BERKELEY COUNTY LACROSSE LEAGUE

Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks & Recreation is now offering lacrosse for boys and girls ages 6-14 (as of 9/1/11). The registration deadline is January 13, 2012. Registrations received after the deadline will incur a $5 late fee. Registration fee is $140 for each child. A copy of the child's birth certificate must be on file at Parks & Recreation. Divisions are as follows: U-9, U-11, U-13, U-15.
Here are a few notes about our new league. Additional questions may be answered in the Lacrosse FAQ sheet. The season runs from practices starting March 1st through the first weekend in June. We will practice two days per week and have one game on the weekend (girls will play Sundays and boys will play on Saturdays.) Practice venues will be decided soon but will all be in Berkeley County. Games usually start at 9am on Saturday and 12 noon on Sunday. Game times will be set by the Western Maryland Youth Lacrosse Conference. There will be a total of 9 games during the season and a festival in Walkersville the last weekend of June. The games will be played in our conference (Western Maryland Youth Lacrosse Conference) and can be played at any of the following areas:
Boonsboro, Carroll Manor (Ballenger Creek-Frederick), Brunswick, Catoctin, Chambersburg, Taneytown, Hagerstown, Linganore/Urbana, Middletown, Mt Airy, Poolsville, Smithsburg, St Johns Frederick, Walkersville. Our home games will be played at Poor House Farm.
