Adaptive Free Swim

We are proud to offer this unique and fun league for players looking to get into hockey.  We hope to keep our youth engaged and participating in our program for many more years to come. Youth Street Hockey is geared towards ages 5-8. This is an instructional league that focused on development. There will be practices and games. No prior experience is necessary. Washington Capitals were awarded funding from an Industry Growth Fund and their organization has used those funds to upgrade in-line hockey rinks at various locations throughout the U.S. The Capitals just completed the upgrade of our very own Oatesdale Park in Martinsburg, WV and invested over $194,000 into this facility. The Washington Capitals and Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks and Recreation completed the renovation for the two rinks in time for the 2019 fall season! The floors, walls, fencing and new goals have been replaced and our hopes are that the renovations will help improve our leagues and gain more interest from local hockey fans who would like to try the sport out. The Washington Capitals will be providing street hockey equipment to local schools and we the ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Sunday, September 29, 2019.
