We are proud to say that we have offered this unique and fun league for over 20 years. We hope to keep our youth engaged and participating in our program for many more years to come. Youth In-Line Hockey is offered to boy and girls for those ages 9-18 years old as of September 1, 2023. This league is offered in the spring and fall, each year. Located at Oatesdale Park, Martinsburg, WV. We offer a Minor (ages 9-12) and Major (ages 13-through High School) and games are typically played on Wednesdays & Sundays. The Squirt League is STREET HOCKEY and geared more towards an instructional league for ages 5-8. Both the Squirt League and the Adult league are a separate registration.
Registration opens for the fall league in early to mid-July and the spring league opens at the beginning of January. Be sure not to miss the deadlines!
Washington Capitals were awarded funding from an Industry Growth Fund and the their organization has used those funds to upgrade in-line hockey rinks at various locations throughout the U.S. The Capitals just completed the upgrade of our very own Oatesdale Park in Martinsburg, WV and invested over $194,000 into this facility. The Washington Capitals and Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks and Recreation completed the renovation for the two rinks in time for the 2019 fall season! The floors, walls, fencing and new goals have been replaced and our hopes are that the renovations will help improve our leagues and gain more interest from local hockey fans who would like to try the sport out. The Washington Capitals will be providing street hockey equipment to local schools and we the ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Sunday, September 29, 2019.
